some thoughts I needed to get out of my head for it to be quiet enough for me to sleep.

they tell us that story develops in a linear fashion
setting, conflict, climax, resolution;
one after the next,
a logical progression that evokes an emotional response.
but they are wrong.
life only ever moves in a circle.
the planets, orbiting.
water; falling, collecting, evaporating, condensing, falling.
parents dying, children birthing,
and repeat.
it all comes back to the center,
that point around which the whole thing rotates.

you know,
and i know,
and neither of us is going to say it
we’ll just let it hang there,
above us,
the roaring silence of the unspoken,
all of the tragic beauty that we hold in our own hands
but owe to each other
and that we will never set free.

because i am a record at its end,
spinning ceaselessly over the same groove,
the needle skipping, skipping, skipping
never losing pace but never making a sound.

and you burnt my letters

It’s a pretty amazing feeling when a group creative people can come to together to see an artistic vision fully realized.

In an age of computerized post production and instagram visual filtering, we aimed to create something as real to the source as we could. Yes, technology was used, but we let it take a back seat to soul. No fancy lens flares. No crazy post production. Just a bunch of friends playing music as hard as we can.
